Baby Quilt from the Team

This is the first baby quilt I ever made, but I didn't do it alone. My quilting buddies, Lauri Goecke and Niki Grimsley shared in it. This was for Kecia Sandusky's third little girl. I designed it and made the tulip block. Lauri and Niki made two butterflies each (Lauri the top two and Niki the bottom two). I quilted it and then Niki did the binding by hand. This was made in early 2004.

 

This is one of the butterflies I quilted into it, which can't be seen in the first picture.
